The process to obtain your free car registration as a member of the Alaska National Guard has been simplified. You need to provide the following documentation to your local DMV office:
1. DMV Form 875 that has been updated (it no longer requires an officers signature)
2. You military ID
3. Page 1 of your Personnel Qualification Record (PQR) for Army National Guard or Page 1 of your Virtual MPF RIP for Air National Guard either printed within 30 days of applying. (This shows your unit of assignment which is what DMV will use to verify you are an Alaska National Guard member.
4. Your driver’s license
5. Your registration document
This process should simplify for all parties involved and ensure you receive your benefits in a timely manner.
